I have a Toshiba A215 Satellite Notebook Laptop.

I was on my computer earlier and my computer just shut itself completely off…And it kind of made a clicking noise, like when you have to crash the computer.

Any idea what may have caused this???

My hypothesis was that maybe my laptop over-heated possibly? Because on the left hand side of my laptop, it gets quite rather hot, so do you possibly think the fan inside of it is possibly malfunctioning? And it doesn’t seem to make that humming noise of the fan moving anymore when I change to a higher performance.

Also my laptop battery tends to die a lot quicker lately for some reason as well…I have to constantly keep it charged…The LCD screen brightness is set to minimum and this is while on a balanced mode as well…It tends to last for not even 10-15 minutes?

Possibly going to take it up to Best Buy today and have them fix it with my extended warranty…Just can’t really wait 4-6 weeks to get it back for something so small and especially being a college student :(.
Also, do you think Best Buy might be able to give me a loaner laptop since I am a college student and I kind of need one for my online studies and homework.
