Ok so I am gonna buy a portable computer and I wanted a notebook cause it’s smaller and easier to carry but than I discovered net books and I LOVE them but i don’t know if it’s worth it I mean my mobile is touch screen and very sensible and i never dropped it or scratched it but I’m afraid I may break my net book if i got it and personaly I wish siomething durable.Now..I don’t want a laptop becase it’s very big and I wish something smaller so what should I buy?Any advice on what (like acer..)and is it better if I have blue tooth wifi etc.. last of all how canI get the internet without intalling and connecting wires!

I know laptops are like 500 and to get a good one, you have to pay that much. i am dying for one and my mom doesn’t have money right now to get me one. i asked my dad and he said if one was 300 he would get it but 500 and 700 is way too much. My mom would buy one off of ebay but she doesn’t trust people to sell a laptop that they are syaing is in good condition. Does anyone know where i can get a good working laptop for a cheap price??

I have a Sony Vaio (VGN NS105N) laptop with 15" screen. No built in webcam. Business model? Kind of heavy, not exactly travel size.

I have the option of switching to a smaller HP Notebook (10" screen?) with built in cam and SD card and memory card slots but no CD drive. Nice and light.

Basically I want to know which is going to be the most useful and practical for college. Realistically, how much am i going to need to carry it around, what features will i end up using most? If you had to choose one, knowing what you know about college/computers, which would you choose?

Okay so i my daughter REALLY wants a computer. She was looking it up and she just cant decide if she should get a laptop or a desktop! i need to know which one is better! Also she has to earn the money herself…..she needs to make around 400$…. we live in a small town so there isn’t alot of choices. Any ideas?

I’m a design technology student and am interested in buying a new computer. I have a desktop PC and have decided my next computer will be a Mac. I’m thinking of getting a Laptop to take to classes and such but the prices of Mac laptops Vs. their desktops for the product you get. Should I spend the extra for portability and take a hit on hardware; or do I save a sacrifice mobility with a boost in hardware?

hi i recently wanted to use my desktop to put songs on my ipod. however when i went to use my computer there i a yellow triangle with an (!) inside of it over my 2 computers which shows my internet. it ays ihave limited to no connectivity. and i have none since i am not able to use my internet. (right now i am on my laptop) i tried going to run and typing in cmd and resetting the ip address, didnt work. also restarted several times, nothing once again… if someone can help i’d appreciate it

also if it has anything to do with routers please give help with how to do that since i am sooo clueless with computers….thank you sooo much for any help

PS: putting the itunes on my laptop is out of the question since my laptop i an acer inspire one and i dont want it too slow down since it is such a small computer used but basic internet browsing/word processing

I have a DSL cord that i want to plug directly into my laptop without using a desktop computer, but all I have is an ethernet port on my laptop. So the cord is to small for the port. What can I do so I can just plug my DSL directly into my laptop?

i was playing the sims 3 today and my laptop ran out of battery and went onto hibernate.
i then charged it and turned it on again and carried on playing the sims but my screen is like small , when i was playing the sims it was normal size but my desktop and everything is small.

i restarted my computer and tried fiddling around with the desktop settings but nothings seams to work.

ive got windows vista ..

i have dell vostro 1510 built-in bluetooth and it works perfectly,but there is a small problem which no phone or other notebooks can find my laptop,i enable the option "Allow Bluetooth devices find this computer" but still ……. is there another option for it or plz whats the problem…..

I am thinking of getting the Acer Aspire 7520 but the RAM is only 1gb which is a bit small for vista. Does this notebook have an easily accessiblr Ram slot on the bottom were you can add extra Ram without taking the whole computer apart.
Or does anyone know a better laptop that can be bought for £299?
