this little guy is great. i got it in white with a 6 cell battery for about $280. i have it for about 8 months and i literally use it every day. yes i did have to buy a cd burner to attach but that was only about $40. this netbook does everything i need and its so portable. i like it better than my previouse full sized hp laptop. very very happy with my acer aspire one.

Great value! lightweight and speedy. No real upgrades though
First off, ill go with the cons, and there arnt that many.
upgrading the ram is MUCH dissecting, im a technician and i would NOT recommend anyone to upgrade the ram themselves. ALSO there is only 1 ram slot, …so if you had an extra half gig chip of DDR2 notebook ram lying around, you wont be able to put it in to bring this baby up to its “1.5 gig max”
the Hard drive is connected but practically EMBEDDED into the motherboard,.. and like getting to the ram slot, you will need to take nearly EVERYTHING out of the casing and then flip the motherboard over after disconnecting all the tiny little cables.
All of this might sound like im bashing it, but in all honesty im not, im just pointing out what to expect if you plan to upgrade the unit. for example…installing a SSHD or..a bigger ram chip.
(personally i would have preferred a 2gig max, not 1.5)

this little laptop has a BEAUTIFUL LED display! Very clear and colorful. its also FAST the Intel Atom processor runs great..and just in case your wondering..it can do some 3d Games! my friend uses this to play WORLD OF WARCRAFT..and Fiesta online! (grafx are scaled down of course..but both games are playable)
the hard drive space at 160 gigs is monstrous!!!! loaded up with 100 DVD quality movies its the perfect thing to keep you busy for a while.
The keyboard is MUCH better in size than some of the other netbooks i have seen ..and it saddens to say it, because i am a ASUS fanboy…the keyboard is better than the ASUS..easier to type on.

Incredibly Slow
I am not sure if I am going to send this back or not. Will start off by saying in the past I was partners in a small computer business. So, know some about computers. I realize I can not compare this to my lap and desktop computers.
This netbook takes a very long time to do everything. Start up, get anywhere, go online, shut down. I had read reviews saying how fast theirs were~ what is wrong with mine? I have gone into msconfig to try to stop a zillon preinstalls from loading. It still is very slow. I turn it on, can literally go to another room, get a cup of coffee come back and it is still booting.
There seems to be a delay every time I click the mouse~ like it is trying to figure out what to do. No way I could multitask on it. The hourglass spins and spins.
I have a linksys wireless home network. Every other computer in the house connects at 16-20m. I can not get the netbook to even 5m. Facebook is impossible to use. Almost slower then dialup.
I do like the size and ease of using. It is pretty and convenient; but feel it is so slow it is close to being worthless. Anyone with suggestions I am open to about anything before seriously considering returning it.

Nice Netbook
I spend virtually all my time on the road, bought this to cut down on weight/bulk and couldn’t be happier. The size is truly tiny but I’ve been really impressed with the quality, performance and expansion capabilities.
The screen is lovely, plenty bright and sharp and I’m seeing right around 2.5 hours of battery life with the standard 3-cell battery.
It’s been mentioned before, but the keyboard is a bit cramped (although I’m writing this review on my Aspire One with no real problems) and I find the “enter” and “backspace” keys a bit difficult to hit consistently. That’s an acceptable sacrifice given the overall small size and lack of weight.
I can’t comment on how XP performs or what software comes pre-installed. I installed Windows 7 as soon as I took it out of the box with no problems. Windows 7, by the way, runs great on this machine although I did have to download and install a touchpad driver from Acer to get the tap/double-tap working.
I really like the multimedia card slot and the additional SD slot and three USB ports. The shiny outer case is beautiful but does collect fingerprints. The built-in webcam works great.
This is a great little laptop for frequent travelers to keep up on e-mail, surf the web, watch videos through Hulu, etc… I wouldn’t want to write a novel on it but after a few weeks of use I’m really happy and consider it a bargain at $259.

Here I talk about and unbox the netbook I bought earlier, the Acer Aspire One A110 8GB. Previously I had an Asus EEEPC 701 4GB which I sold, and I must say this is better. The size keyboards on netbooks have always been a great concern among laptop users. Its keyboard site is 92% the size of normal keyboards, which is a pleasure to type on.

The installation of a Wii modchip can be scary or difficult, but a solderless modchip makes it very easy. There are still things to be taken care of, but choosing a seamless option eliminates the need to use familiar tools (soldering iron). So what has to install a Wiikey 2 modchip in your Wii seamless?

So What you have to install a Wiikey 2 modchip in your Wii seamless?
You need the following:
Welding Wiikey 2 mod chip!
Protector Sticker the back of the modchip (provided)
protection board for the front of the modchip (provided)
Triwing precision screwdriver and screwdriver philips (available at the online store or included with modchip)
screwdriver to remove the rubber feet (see guide to disassemble wii)
Knives and knife pocket knife / Exacto knife to remove the feet of paper (see guide to disassemble wii)

How to install Wiikey2 welding (and other more wiiclips chips attached)
First, be sure to follow the guide to remove the Wii. The guide is very easy to follow.
Once the DVD is removed from the Wii, you be able to install their welding Wiikey 2 modchip. You need to prepare your wiikey 2 modchip seamless pasting the small square label on the back of the chip. You now have to find the microchip in the Wii modchip will be encouraged.
Take Solderless Wiikey 2 chip and line up
You need to push down the black plastic part of the wiiclip, uniform and firm.
If you do not push the clip evenly, you risk bending the legs on that will translate wiiclip on the chip does not work.
(No refunds for items damaged due to improper installation.)
If you have driven down the clip correctly, there should be no green space between the board and DVD drive wiiclip black plastic.
Now we have to plug the unit back, but not close yet.

If you put in a game from a different region, you stop playing Wii games any region.
This is fixable, but best avoided in the first place.
If the game is recognized, the region has been established. Try a game from another region or a backup of your original games.
If this reads well, your modchip is fully functional.
Optional Step:
This step is optional and is only useful if you plan to move out of your console or wait to be beaten regularly.
You need to be sure that the chip is working properly before doing this!
It can be very difficult to undo and do it ourselves, so do so at your own risk!
With the chip in place, tighten a little amount of glue on the board operated.
You want the glue to be on the red dots shown in the picture below, playing both the driver's body and wiiclip.
A small amount should seep under the clip and then have to press down hard until it dries.
If you use too much, not be removed without damaging the chip board.
When reassembling the Wii, you must tighten the screws on the front of the dvd drive first.
This maintaining seamless Wiikey 2 in the correct position instead.
Once your Wii is back together, you're done.
Congratulations.
Welding WiiKey2 now gives you all the features of a modchip Wiikey 2 with an installation process much easier that requires no welding.
The process complete, including disassembly, modchip installation and re-assembly can take less than 15 minutes for most people and less than 5 minutes with the practices installers.
