What power supply fit in my computer and my needs at the lowest price? Fry's and Best Buy, please?

I have a source of 300W Power. I need a new one to fit in my Gateway DX4200-09, so you can get a Radeon HD 5770. If all power supplys one size fits all? or are different and I have to find one that suits my computer?

"- Yes Notwithstanding this, most of the tower and the average size cases full use ATX power supply. Micro Slimline ATX and some take a mATX power supply. The power limit for 5770 is 450 W, so I get at least a 500w.
