Samsung NC10 Netbook Review
The Samsung NC10 has joined the ranks of 10-inch netbooks, including the Eee PC 1000H, MSI Wind, and Lenovo IdeaPad S10, and it beats them all. The 9 NC10 may have the same cookie-cutter specs as its competitors, including a 1.6-GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, and Windows XP, but its spacious, well-positioned keyboard and more than 6 hours of battery life make this system our favorite 10-inch netbook yet.

1) compare specs of NC10 and requirements of Sims2
2) think
3) ???
4) PROFIT!
Stop talking about touch pads and keyboards. You can have a 30 $ wireless mouse and multimedia keyboard on the USB port
its about 40 seconds boot and 25 shutdown
I want to see it turning out and how long it takes to power up ready to use
is this in Singapore if anyone knows
u don’t need any kind of disc or usb drive to install windows 7, it installs itself on the hd while keeping all ur files
download it ffs..
Ehm.. it’s mini pc so it will not play any latest 3d games! These computers are good only on light use and portable moving not for latest games u see around
will the sims 3 work on it??
hi leesa im goin to get this laptop but i need to know will the sims 3 work on it?? im good with knowing how to download games correctly/safely and testing them before i purchase. but it will be a big help if you can let me know thanks :D
can you install let’s say windows 7 using an usb flash drive not an external optical drive??? please somebody help
asus
does this come with micrsoft word?
She’s a cutie.
All computers with Windows XP operating system (and maybe even vista?) has Windows Movie Maker.
Ive heard things that the touchpad IS multitouch, but I haven’t actually researched it… Unless I dont funny understand what qualifies as “multitouch”
Well, maybe so? If i place one finger on the keyboard, and then swipe to the right with the other, I zoom in on the page, and vice versa zooms out… I guess thats multitouch and answers your question? lol
I’m SO pleased with my NC10– the built is amazing, top notch. It feels like a solid laptop… and i thought the HP mini and the MSI wind felt and looked somewhat cheap.
Not to mention, I got mine at Costco’s, not sure if they still sell them, and they extend the manufactorers warrenty to 2 years free of charge!
Also, the slightly bigger screen and well designed keyboard are an extreme plus, even if the touchpad is a tad smaller… ITS WORTH IT, trust me!!!!
It is possible to install Mac OSX, like said by xeonfuze– its a “Hackintosh.”
However, it is very difficult to do since, the last time I checked, not all the drivers were available and working, such as audio.
So, unless you REALLY know what your doing, don’t risk messing with it. Its more trouble than its worth.
Well, lets I tried installing Sims 3 just now and I got an error message saying that the game could not start bc there’s not a supported graphics card for the game– I dont think this was an error on my part since I’m good at making stuff run w/out the CD.
Just a head up.
However, if you rely upon CDs and dont know how to download correctly/safely, you wont like it. But you can get a good USB card for cheap to transfer stuff. So no CD drive=no burning and you have a extremely portable netbook.
this is very good for business obviously.. for all us remote worker geeks that lug our laptops from airport to airport, like to work outdoors when it’s nice, etc… but i probably wouldn’t play WOW on this lol
It won’t be good for games. Most netbooks run on a Intel 1.6Ghz Atom processor. The graphics chips are very lightweight. There are also no CD/DVD drives.
is it good for games i want sims 3, could i play it on here???
and also my friends burn me cds to put in my itunes???
help?
oook now i really dont know which one to get…..so far MSI is number 1 in the list now hmm samsung sounds better…
