is it possible to plug a 15 pin female vga thing into a 9 pin port?

The output of my computer needs a 9 pin female vga thing. But i cant find a 9 pin female VGA to a 15 pin male thing. so can i just buy a male to female 15 pin plug and plug it in to a 9 pin?

There is no such thing as a 9 pin VGA port. The 9 pin point is a serial port not a graphics port. All VGA ports will take a 15 pin female plug. If you don’t have one at all, you may only have a DVI port.
