Is the MSI Wind U100 a good mini-notebook computer?
Well, I see that it doesn’t have a CD/DVD Drive but the specs are quite good for a mini notebook.

Heh, I am answering your question using one. I have had this one for a week and like it. Overall it’s a great notebook/netbook which runs most basic programs fine.
The speakers do suck as you have read by now. And you can hear the hard drive doing it’s work. But the rest of the notebook is very usable and I feel it was a great buy. Yes, the battery does last 5 hours if you get the 6 cell and the LCD is very bright with the LED back lighting.
I do have a 1GB memory stick upgrade that I have yet to put in. But the system runs fine on a the 1GB that the system ships with.
