How can I remove an error message on my desktop?
It’s an error message for a program that didn’t install properly, I have since removed the program, but the message still comes up at start up. Would this have something to do with the registry? My computer is a HP Mini Notebook, with a Windows 7 Starter OS.

Run a full system scan to see what’s inside your mahcine, just launch safe mode with networking at first and download anti-spyware. Look on google pack for spyware doctor!

You know you only delete the files of the program, and the registry still exist in your computer. So you need a special software to clean it up. It is optimize software, The optimize software could clean up junk files, registy errors. I am using a good one which named Perfect Optimizer. You could do such things that will solve your trouble. Such as:
1. Download the software from http://www.perfectoptimizer.com
2. Install it and Click the Clean button.
3. Click the Registry Cleaner.
You could try it and it won’t let you down.
go to start, run and type in msconfig. go to the services tab and disable whatever it is that you had installed. that way it wont pop up. and then run a virus scan to make sure that its not a virus. and if it isnt, then go to start, my computer, local disk c, and search through there for it and when you find the file, delete it. If you cant find it there go to start, search, and type in the name of the file, and when it gives you the list of the things that it found, under in file, follow the destination and delete it that way.
Hope this works for you. Always does for me.
