Button Board
How can I make a button board for an autistic child?

My grandson uses a button board in school, and his occupational therapist suggested he use one at home as well. Is there is simple way to make one? I see ones online for about $20.00. I don’t mind paying, but I think something homemade from Mimi might be nice.
Thanks!

it sucks huh how something so simple is so freaking expensive!! well to me im all about recyling and reusing things so if your asking for a board where your grandson and button things like a shirt..find an old shirt, preferably with large buttons, cut off a section like where the button is and the button hole and hot glue the outside edges onto a peice of card board so its like a mini shirt! if you cant find a shirt with larget enough buttons go to the local fabric mart and buy some..i think its like 25 cents for one or so, and some fabric. cut the fabric in half, sew the button on one and cut some slits on the other and glue them onto a board…i would also find like an old belt with a buckle and gle that section onto another board, also the zipper that still works off of an old pair of pants…good luck..if you need any more help just ask me!
