Battery Charger

Can you keep a battery charger connected and turned on when you try to start the motorcycle?
I need to know if i can keep the battery charger connected and turned on when i try to start my zxr 750 h1 as the battery reads 12v but loses the charge immediatly.
Thanks
John
If you want to blow up the battery then by all means leave the charger connected. If the battery is losing charge it simply means it is time for a replacement, as a standard domestic battery charger cannot recharge a battery that has completely discharged. To do that you need a specialist charger, like the ones used in car dealership workshops.
Sorry dude.
