Adapter Thinkpad
Connect USB Ethernet Adapter to old IBM Thinkpad?

Hi,
I have an old IBM Thinkpad. It only has a dial-up connection port and I want to connect it to my D-Link router using Ethernet. I found a cheap (£7) USB to Ethernet adapter (http://www.amazon.co.uk/USB-Ethernet-Network-RJ45-Adapter/dp/B002883YXM/ref=dp_cp_ob_ce_title_2) and was wondering if this would work with my IBM thinkpad because it only has Windows 98?

Thanks
Harry

From what I can find this adapter does not support Windows 98. You will need a USB to Ethernet adapter that comes with a driver disc that supports Windows 98 since Win98 will not automatically find the drivers.

This adapter is really generic so it is very hard to find information about it. Perhaps I could recommend: The Trendnet TU-ET100C which supports 98.
