My gateway laptop doesn’t get any electricity. Is it because the power adapter doesn’t work or what?
The laptop still works!
If it doesn’t register any AC power and it isn’t charging the battery, I would say that your power supply is bad. I assume you know the laptop still works because you still have battery power and it will run off it? You can purchase generic power supplies at your local electronic store, just make sure they have the right adapter for your laptop. This will be cheaper than buying a factory power supply, unless your laptop is still under warranty, in which case you should call Gateway and they should replace it for you.
